The University of Rhode Island, founded in 1892 and often referred to simply as URI, is a public research university located in Rhode Island. The college’s main campus was formerly Oliver Watson Farm. In 1892, the name was established as the Rhode Island College of Agricultural and Mechanical Literature.
The University of Rhode Island currently has four campuses, including its main campus in Kingston, Rhode Island, and three campuses in other states, including Feinstein Campus in Providence.
