The University of Oslo is located in Oslo, the capital of the Nordic country. It was founded in 1811 as the Royal Frederik University and changed to its current name in 1939. With nearly 40,000 students, 5,000 faculty members and 3,000 international students, the University of Oslo is Norway’s largest institution of higher learning.
