The University at Buffalo is located in the north of Buffalo (also known as Buffalo), the second largest city in New York State. The University at Buffalo consists of three campuses: the South campus, the North campus and the city campus. The campus covers an area of 1,350 acres (about 8195 acres).
The university specializes in graduate education, with 13 schools offering more than 400 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs. It is one of the largest and most widely offered universities in the United States and one of the top research universities in the country. Its well-known schools include: School of Pharmacy, School of Business, School of Engineering, School of Medicine, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, among which Roswell Park Cancer Institute is the first cancer research center in the United States, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated research center, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) member.
